- Child-centred family-focused ecological model.
- Child Rights and justice.
Our role
Gatehouse provides services based on a trauma model of
recovery for children who have experienced sexual harm and/or engaged in
harmful sexual behaviour. Through specialist support and therapeutic care, we
work together with children, their families and communities to build safety,
recover from the impacts of trauma, and connect with resilient futures.
We are committed to our role in systemic change, by
tackling the drivers of child sexual abuse, and contributing to an informed and
supportive community. We encourage and support communities to identify
opportunities and increase capability to create a safer world for all children
to heal and thrive. This includes access for communities experiencing
discrimination and marginalisation, providing culturally safe services,
addressing barriers to access, and working to promote equity and justice.
We are committed to continuously improving our
services to meet the evolving needs of children, their families, and
communities.
